Closed for Canada Day, but then…

Starting Thursday, July 2nd, we’re marking down even more Spring clothing from Dace, Built by Wendy, Rittenhouse, Steven Alan, Permanent Vacation, Mociun, and more. Save 25-40% on great new clothes, now that it’s actually warm enough to wear them!

Potato Printing Party!

Anabela has done a way better blog post about this than I could ever do, but I can’t resist sharing it here too… check out the awesome potato print sale signs she made for us yesterday (with a little help from Julie)! Our/her inspiration was this tutorial by one of our favourite designers, Caitlin Mociun. It took all day but was totally worth it if you ask me.  Don’t they just make you want to come in here and spend all your money??

New necklaces from ChainChainChained

We only have photos of a few of the pieces, but there are many more to see!  Some we’ve had before (Cross Arrows and the Waiting for my Sailor locket) and others are brand new designs (Double Lions and White Iris), all made of vintage brass charms and chains.

Start of Summer Sale, part 2

Hmmm, is it just us or is it still not summer out there?  I guess the solstice isn’t until the weekend, but still… remember when you were in school and you pretty much spent the whole month of June trying to convince your teacher that you should have class outside?  Poor kids can’t even pretend that’s a good idea this year.

Anyway, none of that really has anything to do with the fact that we’ve put more stuff on sale!  Mociun, Sunshine & Shadow, more Built by Wendy and Steven Alan pieces, and a few other excellent odds and sods are now 25% off.   Lots of great Spring/Summer stuff for the warm weather you know is coming sometime soon…

Alternative Apparel restock

If you’ve been in the shop recently you know that things were getting a little desperate in the basics department… we were down to like 7 tank tops, for cripes’ sake! But the delivery guy just dropped off a huuuuuuuge box from Alternative Apparel and now we’re all set – burnout tanks in 3 colours, eco-heather racerback tanks, more short-sleeved sweatshirts, and a few other nice things pictured below.

The eco-heather raglan henley in black (we also have this in oatmeal):

The new organic cotton V-gan tee in sandstone:

The gauze tank in cactus (we also have the same colours we had before: denim, eggshell, and poppy):

Dace for summer

Now that we’ve recovered from Sarah McNeil’s opening party the other night (p.s. if you were here and forgot your purple umbrella, come pick it up anytime!), we can tell you about a couple more new arrivals from Dace!

The Ethan chambray pants are so nice and simple for summer – don’t you just want to throw them on and go to brunch?

And getting dressed doesn’t get much easier than this – put on the Jayme jumpsuit and some sandals and you’re all set.

Back by popular demand…

The Helena tee from Swedish designer Permanent Vacation!

And if you prefer something a little more fitted, we also received a few more of their floral singlets (shown in this post). Come see why they sold out so quickly the first time around!

**UPDATE: Helena tees have sold out again! But we still have a couple of the tank tops and one pair of leggings left… hurry hurry, they are awesome too.

Built by Wendy Summer arrivals

Just arrived from New York, some new summer gems by one of our favourite designers, Built by Wendy.

The Jumper Dress in red eagle print:

The Railroad Stripe Boxers in indigo:

And the Floral Boatneck Pleated Minidress in red and peach:

Also, if you’re looking for denim then I highly, highly recommend the Built by Wendy Indigo Stretch jeans… just got some last week and I’m in luuuuuuuurve!

Other Wild Mammals by Sarah McNeil

Time for another little party at the shop! We’re super-excited to have Australian artist Sarah McNeil showing some drawings, paintings, and prints at Robber through June and July, and the opening is next Thursday, June 11th. Stop by between 6 and 9pm for some snacks, lovely art, and good conversation!
